Transitioning Children to Adulthood
Transforming lives one at a time
Jensen works in Guatemala as an ESL teacher during the day. She works with individuals who have aged out of the orphanage to mentor, assess needs, and guide young adults so they enter adulthood with someone they can count on.
Around the world, the worst outcomes for children entering adulthood are from those children who have lived in an orphanage, in foster care, or on the streets. These children are at high risk for homelessness, trafficking, abuse, drug addiction, and incarceration. We want to change that. We are working with young adults as they age out of the orphanage system in Guatemala and helping them transition to college or career.
