CENTRAL ASIA

THE BACKGROUND & THE GOAL

We don't often realize how much Christianity plays a part of our culture in the West.  Around the world, but still in aspects of the West as well, the value of a person lies in the contribution.  So if your life requires more care from others, then your life has less value.  Think: elderly, handicapped, children for whom parents cannot provide.  So children born with special needs -- lifelong needs -- are seen as a curse, an indictment from God, a burden that should be cast away.

We believe that God creates ALL humans as image bearers, as recipients of God's love, and as having inherent worth and value.  We believe in the sanctity of life.

Our goal, then, is to create strategies to allow children with special needs to stay with their biological families, to find fostering and adopting families, to have as much independence as they are capable, and facilitate them as they use the gifts God has bestowed on them in the world.

VISION TRIP

Learn where God is moving

April 22-May 1, 2022 a small team will head to Central Asia where they will meet with humanitarian groups in the country, leaders in the country, special needs orphanages, and more.  Our goal is to learn where God is already stirring hearts, see how we can piggie-back into what they are doing, and learn the necessary steps for creating a 127 Place presence.
